Performance Characteristics

Excellent Wear Resistance: Its wear resistance is 7 times that of carbon steel, ranking first among all plastics. The higher the molecular weight, the greater the wear resistance.

Outstanding Impact Resistance: Its impact strength is the highest among existing plastics. It maintains a certain level of mechanical strength even at -269°C (liquid nitrogen temperature), demonstrating excellent low-temperature impact performance.

Superior Self-Lubrication: With a friction coefficient of only 0.07–0.11, comparable to PTFE, it offers excellent non-stick properties and is ideal for manufacturing bearings, bushings, slide rails, and other friction components.

Exceptional Chemical Corrosion Resistance: Aside from a very few strong oxidizing acids, it resists corrosion from common inorganic and organic acids, alkalis, salts, and organic solvents. Its chemical stability is similar to that of PTFE.

Other Properties: Extremely low water absorption, hygienic and non-toxic, odorless and tasteless, with a service life of up to 50 years. It maintains stable performance across a wide temperature range from -269°C to 80°C.
